Visa
A visa is an official document allowing you to travel, study, and/or reside in a specific country. Once you are accepted by the host university to participate in an exchange program you will receive more information about how to apply for a visa (if necessary). In most cases you will need to mail your passport to the host country’s consulate to have the visa stamp applied. You may also be required to travel in person to the consulate for an interview prior to receiving your visa. Each program page lists the estimated costs you will incur for standard visa costs, such as application fees or shipment fees. However, please remember to budget for additional costs you may incur for expedited services, travel expenses, etc.
